About

Having spent my childhood surrounded by white pines of New Hampshire, it made sense that after graduating from the University of Michigan with a degree in technology I chose instead to pursue my lifelong love of woodworking.

What began as simple hobby became pursuit of mastery, one that has led me to Japanese tools and methods, and even a trip to Japan itself to deepen my knowledge of the craft. Working from Chicago, my work spans furniture to the architectural details of a space, from as small as a jewelry box to as large as a staircase. My philosophy is that the finest pieces don't just fill a moment or need — they outlast it, passing through houses and hands and generations without ever losing what made them worth keeping. I work with people who can feel the difference between something made and something manufactured, something designed to meet your life, not just a moment.
